Summer Camp 2026

Howdy!

Thank you for interest in Saddle Up Academy's Summer Camp program.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, our mission is to bring the agricultural world to urban youth. We aim to provide accessibility to every child, offering a hands-on experience with farm life and connecting them with nature in a fun, meaningful way. Our camp helps educate the community about the importance of farming, sustainability, and how animals and gardens enrich our lives.

We are now offering a holistic approach to young animal enthusiasts.  Horses are amazing, but being a horse person means so much more than adventures in the saddle.  Don't fret, campers still get to yeehaw with our awesome herd of horses. Yet,  a true equestrian, means true animal lover and advocate.  With that comes the importance of education, responsibility, care and the best one... getting your hands dirty!  Our growing farm at Canyon Creek Ranch, is home to not just horses, but a variety of other animals. 

We believe in taking kids outside to experience the therapeutic magic of nature. The farm has a healing power that helps kids thrive, reconnect with the earth and feel the joy of simple moments. Whether it's spending time with the animals or exploring the beauty of the outdoors, we see how the farm nurtures a sense of peace and joy in every child. Kids don’t just make lasting memories here—they make lasting friendships with both their fellow campers and the animals they care for.  We always say, "teach them well and take it outside!  Life's best adventures are outside!"

Camp info:

We are offering 4 sessions of summer camp this year to choose from. Each session is 1 week long.

session 1: June 22-26

session 2: June 29- July 3

session 3: July 6-10

session 4: July 20-24

Location: 

Canyon Creek Ranch in Castro Valley,  just 20 minutes from Oakland

Camp Hours: 

9am to 2:30pm

Camp Fee: $900.00

Non-refundable deposit to reserve your child’s spot is $450, due at the time of registration. Space is limited, first come, first served.
