Tayler DeMuynck

My passion for horses started at a very young age, one ride and I was hooked for life. My herd consists of 8 horses, all sizes and colors. I have competed in a variety of events and I also enjoy exploring the local trails. I am so fortunate to be able to care for these magnificent animals. It has been a wonderful journey of hard work, learning and fun. My goal is to spread the magic of horses and the knowledge of a well-rounded equestrian to the next generation. -Coach Tayler

Mariah Ferguson

I leased my first pony when I was 13 years old in the Oakland hills. I bought my first horse when I was in high school.   After college I found my heart horse Gryffindor, a beautiful, fancy Quarter horse and he was with me till the end, for almost 20 years.  I now have three horses and three human kiddos. I’m a UC Berkeley Alumna, urban farmer and a Cal Fire Archaeologist.  I am truly an Oakland kid at heart and I love bringing horses and city kids together.  I have taught lessons to kids and adults in the past. These days I cheer kids on from the edge of the arena, assist our Saddle Club team and help Coach Tayler with logistics. -Coach Mariah

Aja Aguirre

I was a horse girl on the periphery from a young age, relishing trail rides and pony camps in the summer, but my journey began in earnest with a lesson at Folger Stables over a decade ago. I now own four incredible horses with my wife, and compete at the lower levels in the thrilling sport of eventing. Previously, I've worked as the Director of Communications at an EBRPD-owned, 70-horse boarding facility in the Oakland Hills, and I'm excited to utilize skills from my professional background — from editor and innovator, to fundraising, event management, and real estate — to support Saddle Up in providing access to the next generation of amazing equestrians! -Aja
